I actually appreciate spelling correction from anyone interested in doing that, but I should ask everyone to send such things to me by email - the comments should focus on opinions and discussions.

Concerning the human Lechuck mention and picture, I was so struck by his new appearance that I just had to post a screenshot of him.

Just finished it myself and I must admit I agree with your review. It was indeed a proper MI adventure and an excellent introduction to the series.

Cheers!

Great review. Except may i point out that I DIDNT know about Lechuck being human until i played the game as i didnt look at any of the hype stuff in FEAR of seeing spoilers. Had i read this before playing i would have been a little pissed off that you gave that away even though it happens right at the start. Maybe mention at the start of your review if you're gonna talk about things that aren't advertised on the telltale sight. Voodoo lady is an exception, Telltale had screenshots up before the game came out and i accidentally saw one on there so im guessing that was common knowledge.

apart from that i think you gave a great score, it really was up in the top of the ranks department, i think i gave it about 85% myself in my own review.

I dont think Guybrush looks crap in this, i like the looks of all the characters. Although i still think that the buildings could have been used more on the island. You only got to go inside one, and although it looks like a 2 story house from outside it has one room inside.

dont worry too much about that other dude pointing out spelling mistakes. He's helping at least! and reading the reviews!

I've tried the demo and yes, at the end of it Guybrush's new look somehow grows on you. He really is a dorky one, and that face suits him. And, yes, the animation makes it more bearable. Though I'd prefer Elaine to be playable - she's more pleasant to look at. Hell, or LeChuck - that would be a blast, and his situation at the end of the demo is perhaps more intriguing than Guybrush's.

The look for Guybrush in this one is inspired by the original look that Ron Gilbert last used in Monkey Island 2: LeChucks Revenge. I can also assure anybody that in motion, Guybrush is as animated and authentic as ever in the new games, beard and all. And as for looking an idiot… I think that is kind of the point, although I often felt he was more mature than ever before and actually pretty cool, at least compared to what we have seen in the past.

(May I also point out that this site surely does a good enough job of providing enjoyable articles and reviews without every little spelling mistake being immediately thrown up into the comments section?)

I think this is a good review Igor and contrasts very interestingly with what I have recently written for my own site.

I loved the part in the game where Guybrush says "Murray?!" to a skull candle holder. Perhaps, as you asked in your review, he will be returning in the future! I certainly hope so.

>preparing a voodoo cutless
cutlass

>Guybrush’s heirdo
hairdo

Returning to our older talk, good work on describing the puzzles without giving them out.
On an unrelated note, I haven't played this one, but I think new look of Guybrush is horrible. He looks like an idiot. It's probably the beard. Or the caved-in face? His head looks like a banana in a wig.
